Happy Saint Patrick's Day everyone. Along with working a bunch of overtime, I was able to attend the "Wings and Brew" event hosted at Treasure Island Casino in MN this weekend. This is an all-you-can-eat beer and wings tasting event.
This seems like a very appropriate event for Saint Patrick's Day weekend, but unfortunately for me I'm not a beer lover. I'm not even a beer liker. I did sample a few beers, because I like to expand my pallet. The only thing they had to my liking was a hard cider, and I already knew I like hard cider. They did have many beers available, and for the most part, the lines were small.
The wings on the other hand, were another story. There were five places handing out wings, and it took ten to fifteen minutes of waiting in line to get one wing. I will say that four of the five had amazing wing. One had the worst wings I've ever tasted.
You may be thinking that this was not the event for me, but you'd be wrong. I had a lot of fun, especially for the money. It cost $35, but came with $10 in free slot money. You have to remember that you pay a bar for beer, but you're also getting admission to a fun place. This was a fun place, and even had a DJ.
Most of my friends had more than $25 in beer; some more than twice that. I can't recommend attending their next event enough if you're a beer lover, or looking to become one. I'd also recommend them if you're not.
